Arsenal sold Emile Smith Rowe to Fulham in this summer’s transfer window.
The Englishman was an absolute fan favourite at the Emirates Stadium, and it was heartbreaking to see him leave the club.
However, after two very difficult seasons where Smith Rowe struggled with injuries and game time, it was the right time for both parties to go their separate ways.
Fabregas knows what it takes for a young player to make it at Arsenal, and he has admitted that he’s a huge fan of Smith Rowe.
The former Barcelona man also claimed that it was ‘terrible’ to see the England midfielder leave the Emirates and join Fulham in this window.
Fabregas said about Smith Rowe on the Planet Premier League podcast: “I really like this player, I’m a big fan of him.
“He’s so powerful, you can see he has been brought up in the Arsenal way. He’s super smart, competitive. It’s terrible that he needs to leave Arsenal because of injuries and he’s struggled to come back, with Arteta being so demanding he struggled to get his way back.
“I think Fulham is a good step, he’s been very smart, they play good football, have a good coach, stability. I believe that having one or two seasons at Fulham playing well he will come back to the top.”

How has Smith Rowe fared for Fulham so far?
Arsenal fans were all convinced that Smith Rowe would be a success at Fulham even before the move was officially announced.
The Englishman has not disappointed.
Smith Rowe has scored for Fulham in each of his two appearances. He seems to be settling in really well, and we won’t be surprised at all if he becomes their best player this season.
The Cottagers begin their Premier League campaign with a game against Manchester United away from home.
