Cesc Fabregas told he’s good enough to manage Arsenal or Barcelona

Speaking about the impact Cesc Fabregas has had at Como, club president Mirwan Suwarso has conceded that the Spanish midfielder could end up at Arsenal.

“Fabregas is really very important for us, but we would be stupid not to think that one day he could go to Arsenal, Barcelona or Chelsea,” the Como president said.

“If he continues to win with us or in any case to be successful, even if I cannot speak for him, I believe he could have bigger dreams.

“Having said that, I hope that as long as he is here he will help us create a success plan also for those who will have to replace him. For me, when he leaves, if he ever leaves, he should be the one to choose who will take his place.

“He should be involved in the choice. Being a member of the Board of Football, he will have to help us appoint the next coach.”

Cesc Fabregas’ unbelievable record as Como manager

Every so often, we see a young manager really find their feet immediately and over in Como, that’s exactly what we’ve seen with Fabregas.

Fabregas has taken Como from the lower leagues in Italy to the very upper echelons of Serie A, with the club firmly in the Champions League picture this season.

Como are currently sixth but sit just a few points behind fourth, albeit Inter Milan are running away with it at the very top.

All in all, Fabregas has managed 86 games in Como, with a win percentage of 43% (37 wins, 25 draws, 25 losses).

Interestingly, Fabregas’ style of play is clear, with the team boasting the second best defensive record in the league while being top of the possession stats.

One day, if Mikel Arteta does move on, it would be no surprise to see Fabregas in the managerial hotseat.
