Conor McGregor was in attendance for Arsenal’s Champions League win over Paris Saint-Germain at the Emirates.
On a special night for the Gunners, many star faces were in the stands to watch Mikel Arteta’s side beat PSG.
Arsenal picked up their first three points of the new Champions League format, beating Luis Enrique’s squad comfortably in North London.
First-half goals from Kai Havertz and Bukayo Saka were all that was needed for Arsenal to seal a win over the Ligue 1 leaders, with an impressive second-half display ensuring a clean sheet was also earned.
Some say it was a statement night for Arsenal, while others see it as a routine win however, it wasn’t just the action on the pitch that made the headlines.
One of the stars in the crowd was Conor McGregor, who met up with members of the squad after the game.

Arsenal fans fume at Conor McGregor and Bukayo Saka video
After the game, McGregor was given the chance to live out many fans’ dreams by having a kickabout with Saka and Declan Rice.
The UFC star certainly divides opinion, however, Arsenal supporters shared one overriding thought on the Irishman as a video emerged post-match.
McGregor was seen having a joke with Saka on the pitch, where he imitated sparring with the winger, kicking out at the England international as he pulled away.
Fans did not appreciate the video, all rushing to call for McGregor to refrain from getting physical with the Gunners’ star player.
“Had Saka gotten injured, I would have asked for a personal fight with McGregor,” one supporter boldly said about the martial arts maestro.
“When he swung his leg, I got scared,” another admitted, with others calling for the 36-year-old to stop joking with the winger.
Of course, the interaction was light-hearted and nothing more than a joke between the two athletes, but Arsenal lovers did not see the funny side of it.
“Conor if you hurt him by mistake we will hurt you on purpose,” the fighter was warned.
Other supporters were more direct with their thoughts on McGregor, as one said, “This muppet better leave our star boy alone.”
“Please don’t hit our star boy, he’s a special player to us,” a fan said as the video emerged, to which others called for Arsenal’s special guest to tone things down.
“Chill out McGregor,” and “McGregor should take it easy next time,” supporters said, while some claimed that it’s nothing that Saka can’t take.
“No worries Saka is used to these moves, gets them every other game from the defenders,” one fan joked.
Another even speculated whether Manchester City played a part in McGregor’s actions, in another humorous take on the video.
“Are you sure Man City didn’t send that guy to injure our star boy? Failed plan.”
Arsenal fans won’t appreciate any risk of injury
It’s no surprise that Arsenal fans were strong in their messages towards McGregor, with Saka being the poster boy at the Emirates.
The Gunners have to protect Saka at all costs, with the squad already on high alert over unfortunate injury concerns as a result of what’s unfolded over the past year.
Last season, Jurrien Timber was ruled out for the entire campaign on the first day of the 2023/24 calendar, suffering an ACL injury against Nottingham Forest.
Arsenal’s luck continued this term, as new signing Mikel Merino was bizarrely injured on his first day of training after his transfer, colliding with Gabriel Magalhaes which resulted in a broken collarbone.
Captain Martin Odegaard returned from the September international break on crutches, reinforcing why fans are eager to wrap their players up in cotton wool.
McGregor would have enjoyed what was seen on the pitch against PSG however, it now seems that the Irishman is not welcome at the Emirates again following his sparring session with Saka.
