Arsenal emerged victorious against Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League.
The Gunners went into the game at the Emirates Stadium as the favourites, and Mikel Arteta’s men got the job done without too much trouble.
Kai Havertz opened the scoring with a brave header before Bukayo Saka scored a direct free-kick to double the lead – albeit he intended it to be a cross.
Arsenal have a win on the board in this season’s Champions League now, and fans are all delighted with the result.
What UFC star Conor McGregor was spotted doing after Arsenal vs PSG
Arsenal are one of the biggest clubs in the world, and it’s not uncommon to see celebrities at games.
Justin Bieber was in attendance in one of Arsenal’s pre-season games during their tour of the United States, while Prime Minister Keir Starmer has been gifted a box at the Emirates.
There was another celebrity in the house when Arsenal beat PSG on Tuesday night – Conor McGregor.
The former two-division UFC champion has been away from the octagon for a while now, but he has been making several public appearances.
After the game, Arsenal allowed McGregor to step on the pitch at the Emirates, and the Irishman was enjoying the experience.
A video uploaded by French journalist Julien Laurens shows McGregor walking on the pitch, putting his arms in the air as if he has won another title and even applauding people looking at him.
Some fans felt it was bizarre to see McGregor doing what he was doing, but he was just loving life. He even passed the ball around with Declan Rice and Saka for a few minutes when they came out.
Conor McGregor’s favourite footballer plays for Arsenal
McGregor is arguably the biggest name in combat sports even though he has been inactive following his horrific leg break.
The UFC star enjoys his football too, and he even once admitted that an Arsenal player is his favourite-ever footballer.
No, we’re not talking about Saka or Rice – McGregor’s favourite football player is Kieran Tierney.
When asked to name his favourite footballer, he said back in 2019, as per talkSPORT: “There’s a young guy, Kieran Tierney. He was the captain of Celtic Football Club and he recently signed with Arsenal.
“He’s been a phenomenal supporter of mine, he’s been supporting me over the years. He’s risen up and he’s a phenomenal, phenomenal football player.
“I’m in conversation with him and he’s a great guy, a good kid, and I’m rooting for him.”
