The Gunners have a fantastic recent record against Pep Guardiola’s side. They are unbeaten in each of their last five games against the Sky Blues and will be looking to continue that run.

The rivalry between Arsenal and Manchester City has become a feisty affair in recent years.

Guardiola and his men were always complimentary of the Gunners in the past, but everything changed when Mikel Arteta’s men started challenging them in the Premier League.

A lot has been said over the last three years, and there have been a few altercations on the pitch as well during games.

Erling Haaland and Gabriel Magalhaes have had more than one battle, while Myles Lewis-Skelly has been involved too.

That makes the game on Sunday a very interesting watch, but Chris Sutton thinks there will only be one winner – and it’s not Haaland.

On BBC Sport, the pundit wrote: “I am very sure about this one – Arsenal to win.

“Manchester City played well in the derby, but they were up against a poor Manchester United team, and Arsenal are on a different level.

“They will rough City up, and I can see Erling Haaland being bullied out of it – I am not going to make him captain of my Fantasy team this week.”

Haaland is the best striker in the world – there’s no debate there.

The Norwegian has been terrific for Manchester City since he joined them, scoring 130 goals and providing 21 assists in 151 games.

William Saliba and Gabriel have kept Haaland quiet in the past, but the striker has managed to hurt the Gunners as well.

Six direct goal contributions in eight games against Arsenal is a very good record, but Saliba and Gabriel will back themselves to keep a clean sheet on Sunday.

If the two defenders get their way, Sutton’s prediction of Haaland getting ‘bullied’ will come true.
