Arsenal gave debuts to three of their new acquisitions during their 1-0 win over AC Milan in Singapore.

Martin Zubimendi impressed on his debut with many journalists and pundits commenting on their surprise over his physicality and strength in the duels.

Kepa Arrizabalaga stole the show in the penalty shoot-out at the conclusion of the game as he saved three of the AC Milan spot kicks but couldn’t prevent defeat with the Italians running out 6-5 winners.

Christian Norgaard also produced a solid display in the middle of the park and it seems that the Gunners’ new £10m acquisition is settling in well with his new teammates.

Christian Norgaard and Declan Rice spotted playing golf together

Norgaard is a unique signing for Arsenal in terms of the experience he will bring to the side without ever really proving himself at the very top level in his career so far.

With Jorginho leaving the club, Mikel Arteta was keen to add more leadership to his ranks and Norgaard certainly provides that.

It appears that Norgaard has settled into the club well and has been pictured with fellow midfielder Declan Rice on the golf course.

Chemistry and camaraderie is important within a successful side and Arteta will be pleased to see two players, who will be working closely together next season, bonding so well.

With a number of new faces coming into the club this summer, it is important for the current Arsenal players to welcome them with open arms and help settle the new signings as quickly as possible.

Christian Norgaard and Declan Rice can build important partnership for Arsenal

With Zubimendi expected to be the main starter at the base of midfield, Norgaard will still have an important role to play next season.

The Dane will likely be rotated into the side for cup competitions or in the event that Zubimendi picks up an injury or suspension.

There were signs during the friendly against AC Milan that Rice and Norgaard complemented each other’s game well and Arteta will be looking for that to continue.

Arsenal will want the habit of being able to get into the same groove and rhythm in their play no matter what personnel is in the side and Norgaard’s intelligence is a great sign for the Gunners.
