Christian Norgaard can’t attend training at Colney without sharing a laugh with his Arsenal teammate Declan Rice.
Norgaard was one of eight players to sign for Arsenal in the summer transfer window, arriving from Brentford.
The Gunners acquired the Bees’ captain to replenish Mikel Arteta’s midfield following two key departures.
After starting the season with an injury, the ball is now rolling for Norgaard, who hopes to see his minutes increase as time goes on.

Declan Rice always laughs at Christian Norgaard’s viral name pronunciation video
Norgaard knew that he’d go from having a starring role at Brentford to a backseat job at Arsenal, adding to the depth of the Gunners’ midfield.
Aside from wanting to play more, the 31-year-old has settled into his new surroundings very well, often exchanging some banter with his teammates.
The Dane featured in Arsenal’s social media team’s Colney Carpool segment, where he revealed one recurring joke he has with Rice.
The interview couldn’t take place without discussing the viral video of Norgaard correctly pronouncing his name, which had the internet talking.
“It’s gone viral a bit,” Norgaard said in reaction to the video, going on to share that Rice can’t help himself.
“Every morning I come in and Declan Rice is like ‘Christian Norgaard!’”
The Arsenal midfielder taught Premier League commentators how to say his name the Danish way [Nar-go], which clearly tickled Rice.
Christian Norgaard and Declan Rice are good friends
It’s unsurprising that Rice is enjoying sharing a laugh every day with his new teammate, as the two have grown close.
Rice and Norgaard play golf together and have already struck up quite a friendship, which they’d surely like to put to the test on the pitch.

So far at Arsenal, the two midfielders have only shared the pitch for a total of 26 minutes, but things have gone swimmingly in that fraction of time.
When on the pitch at the same time, Norgaard and Rice average three points per game, winning both of the two matches they’ve both featured in.
Long may the form continue as the season goes on, with the two having an incentive to get on the pitch together more often.
