Arsenal fans can put one concern to rest ahead of the end of the Premier League season.
Despite some rumours doing the rounds, Crystal Palace will not in fact earn a penny extra for stopping the Gunners winning the title at Selhurst Park on the final day.
A claim circulating on social media suggested Palace stood to earn as much as £10 million in bonus payments should Arsenal lift the league at their ground on Sunday 24 May.
It spread quickly, with many fans taking it at face value, as these things often do.

However, football.london have confirmed that no such clause exists in the deal that took Eberechi Eze to Arsenal last summer.

Eze joined the Gunners in a deal worth £67.5 million in August 2025, with £7.5 million of that figure made up of add-ons.
According to football.london, those add-ons are easily obtainable and are tied to a variety of performance-related conditions — none of which have anything to do with Arsenal winning the Premier League title.
So that’s that.
Eze initially had a £67.5 million release clause at Palace, but it expired before both Arsenal and Tottenham accelerated their pursuit of the England international.
It was Arsenal’s swift approach and willingness to match the previous value of the clause that clinched the move — helped, of course, by Eze’s own preference for a switch to the club he had supported as a youngster and even represented at youth level before being released at 13.
As for the final day, the Gunners have the added comfort of knowing Palace have the UEFA Conference League final against Rayo Vallecano just days after their Premier League fixture.
Oliver Glasner has already hinted at significant rotation, and with no financial incentive to derail Arsenal’s title party, the conspiracy theories can be filed away.
