Arsenal are scheduled to take on Crystal Palace twice in four days.
The Gunners first host the Eagles in the quarter-final of the EFL Cup on Wednesday night. Mikel Arteta has already expressed his desire to go all the way in the competition.
After the cup game, Arsenal travel to Selhurst Park to face Crystal Palace in the Premier League. That is a very important game too for the North Londoners.
Eagles boss Oliver Glasner has had his say on the Gunners now ahead of the EFL Cup clash.
Oliver Glasner names what ‘nobody’ can avoid when they face Arsenal
Arsenal haven’t had the greatest start to the season, but they are still among the best teams in the world.
The Gunners, on their day, can blow any side away, and they have proven that already under Arteta over the last two years.
The North Londoners have had their struggles in front of goal this season. They haven’t created as much as they would’ve liked and have missed plenty of opportunities to score too.
What has saved Arsenal on a few occasions is their ability in set-pieces. Arsenal are the kings of corners in the Premier League and Europe, and they have often looked unstoppable in that area.
Glasner, whose Crystal Palace side have improved on that front recently, was asked about Arsenal’s quality in set-pieces.
The Eagles boss admitted that Arsenal creating chances from corners is something ‘nobody’ can avoid – it will happen because they ‘force’ corners every game.
He said, as per Crystal Palace’s official website: “Of course, on the other side, everybody knows it. Everybody tries different things. To be honest, it looks like nobody could avoid that [Arsenal] have chances [from corners].
“They didn’t score but they had one big chance against Everton. It’s a strength, so the best thing is don’t give them any corners, but this is the style, how they are playing.
“They force corners. They come from the wing, they overload sides, making the runs, early crosses, you block it… corner, and that’s how they play. We have to deal with it.
“It’s not that we are now just talking and thinking about the corners. We know it, but we don’t make the issue bigger than it is.”

Two players could come back to haunt Arsenal
Crystal Palace will not be an easy side to face for Arsenal.
The Gunners struggled against low blocks against Everton and Fulham recently, and they are likely to be up against a similar approach from the Eagles.
We’re sure Arteta has a plan to break them down, but he has to be wary of Palace’s strengths as well. Two players, in particular, would love to get the better of Arsenal.
Eddie Nketiah is obviously one of them. The Englishman will have a point to prove after he was sold by the North Londoners in the summer.
The other is Matt Turner. The American plays for the Eagles now and started in their last EFL Cup game against Aston Villa. We’re sure he would love to spoil the party at the Emirates on Wednesday night.
