Andrea Berta has a lot of work to do at Arsenal this summer.
The Italian was brought in to replace Edu Gaspar at the Emirates Stadium, and he has been tasked with building a side that will get over the line.
Arsenal have finished second in the Premier League in each of the last two seasons, and it looks like they’ll end this campaign as the runners-up as well.
That needs to change in 2025/26, and Darren Bent thinks he knows the three players Arsenal need to sign to finally become the champions.
Darren Bent names the three players Arsenal should sign this summer
Arsenal need reinforcements in multiple areas of their pitch this summer.
A new striker is the priority, but Mikel Arteta needs another winger, at least one new midfielder and also a backup goalkeeper.
A new defender could become a necessity too if the likes of Jakub Kiwior and Oleksandr Zinchenko follow Kieran Tierney out of the door.
Andrea Berta has a lot on his plate right now, and we’re sure he will try to reinforce all of the above positions before the start of next season.
Bent, however, thinks three new signings will be enough for Arsenal to get over the line – Viktor Gyokeres, Nico Williams and Martin Zubimendi.
“Yeah, I do (think that’s enough for Arsenal to win the Premier League). That’s strong enough,” Bent said on talkSPORT.
Darren Bent makes interesting claim about Arsenal’s right-backs
As we said above, Arsenal need new players in multiple positions, but the one area of the pitch where they have enough options is right-back.
The Gunners have Jurrien Timber and Ben White there, while Takehiro Tomiyasu is also still at the club.
Timber has been outstanding this season for Arsenal, and the performances he has put in right after recovering from an ACL are nothing short of remarkable.
Despite that, Bent says he would start White over Timber and believes that the Englishman is the better player.
“Yeah, I would, yeah. Ben White has had injuries, but I think he is better (than Timber).”
