Arsenal are set to be without Max Dowman for around two months after the teenager suffered ankle ligament damage against Manchester United U-21.
Dowman netted during the 3-0 win over the young United team; however, he was forced off with an ankle injury, which is a big disappointment for Mikel Arteta.
There had been talk of Dowman featuring for Arsenal against Club Brugge, but now, the 15-year-old will be focusing on returning in the New Year.
The Gunners will be hoping that the midfielder makes a smooth recovery during a month in which Dowman was set to sign a new scholarship at Arsenal.

Max Dowman’s ankle injury will not require surgery
Max Dowman was injured during a challenge by an opponent during Arsenal U-21’s win over Man United, according to David Ornstein.
Fortunately, the injury is not expected to require surgery, but he will be sidelined for around two months.
Arteta has been carefully managing the teenager’s minutes since his step up to the first team, with the player being in and out of the match-day squads.
Following Dowman’s display against Leeds back in August, fans have been eager for him to be played more often, but it’s clear he needs to be protected.
Rather incredibly, Dowman has scored in every Arsenal academy match in which he has played this season, proving just how talented he is.
Arsenal will now be ensuring that the teenager is not rushed back quickly, given how highly his potential for the future is rated.
