Arsenal now know exactly what they have to do in order to win the Premier League and Champions League this season.

Arsenal were drawn against PSV Eindhoven in the last-16 of the Champions League and fans have given their pessimistic reaction to the draw.

Domestically, the Gunners are preparing to welcome West Ham to the Emirates Stadium and know that a win is needed to move to within five points of Liverpool at the top of the Premier League table.

Arsenal’s injury crisis this season has made their task of winning silverware harder but that hasn’t stopped the players believing it can happen and David Raya has provided an update on a couple of Arsenal’s injured stars.

David Raya gives positive update on Bukayo Saka and Kai Havertz

Speaking to the Seaman Says podcast, Arsenal goalkeeper Raya has provided an update on his injured team mates Bukayo Saka and Kai Havertz.

Raya stated: “Bukayo is doing really well, I see him every morning, he’s always happy, always with a smile on his face. He’s a top guy and I just can’t wait for him to be back.”

On Saka’s attacking partner Havertz, the Spanish keeper also provided a positive update on the German’s wellbeing following his hamstring surgery.

Raya explained: “Kai I saw him two days ago, I think he just came back from the surgery and everything so I think he will have a little bit of treatment, a few days off but he’s very optimistic, he’s very happy.”

Raya will be key to Mikel Arteta’s side lifting a trophy this season

Raya has become such a key component of Mikel Arteta’s side in recent seasons and has continued his excellent form from last season, which saw him win the Premier League’s golden glove award.

Raya has made 36 appearances in all competitions this campaign and 14 clean sheets for the Gunners in that time.

Raya was instrumental in Arsenal’s recent win over Man City having made a sublime save from a close range header from Josko Gvardiol to keep the game at 1-0.

That incident was just one of a number of high profile saves from the Spanish international this season and Arsenal will be hoping he can continue to produce such excellency in the coming months.

You get the feeling that Raya may have to produce another moment of magic that could be the difference between silverware and nothing for the Gunners this season.
