David Raya has some big ambitions at Arsenal this year.
The Gunners signed the Spain international on a permanent deal in July after a very successful year on loan from Brentford. He helped Arsenal maintain the best defence in the Premier League last season.
In this campaign, Raya has been even better and is a strong contender to win the Player of the Season award in May.
Now, the 29-year-old is aiming for big things in the final months of the campaign.

David Raya shares his ambitions at Arsenal this season
Arsenal are out of the domestic cups, but they are very much alive in both, the Premier League and the Champions League.
The Gunners can close the gap to Liverpool to just five points with a win against West Ham United on Saturday, while a Champions League clash against PSV Eindhoven is coming up as well.
In an ideal world, Arsenal would love to go all the way in both competitions. That would make this an incredible season – perhaps the best ever at the club.
On David Seaman’s podcast, Raya was asked which title he would pick to win this season if he could only choose one between the Premier League and the Champions League.
The Spaniard thought for a bit but then picked the latter because nobody at Arsenal has ever done it before. He wants to be a part of the first group to do it!
Raya said: “I think the Premier League is very, very important for the fans, for the club, it is what you fight for every single year. But, because the Champions League has never been won at the club, I think I’m going to pick the Champions League.
“It’s never been won at the club and the Champions League, if you see who’s been winning it all these years, which is Real Madrid, it’ll be nice to win it, I think, for the club to make history and to be a part of the squad that has won it for the first time.
“It’ll be very important for every individual, staff and players.”

David Raya’s stats in the Champions League this season are incredible
Raya is one of the best goalkeepers in the world today.
It’s funny to look back on how much criticism Mikel Arteta was subjected to when the Arsenal manager dropped Aaron Ramsdale for the former Brentford man.
Arteta, as he almost always is, was proven right, and Raya’s stats in the Champions League this season show that.
| Games | Goals conceded | Clean sheets | Save % | |
| David Raya in the Champions League | 7 | 2 | 5 | 93.8 |
Out of the two goals Raya conceded, one of them came from the penalty spot against Inter Milan, while the Spaniard actually saved a spot-kick against Atalanta.
A 93.8 per cent save rate is an unbelievable record, and if Raya can keep this up in the coming games, Arsenal have every chance of going all the way in the Champions League.
