Arsenal legend David Seaman still works with the young goalkeepers at the club.
The Englishman is one of the greatest to ever do it for the Gunners. He spent most of his career at Arsenal and is an absolute icon of the club.
Seaman played with and against some incredible players during his playing days, so he knows a big talent when he sees one.
He has now spotted a wonderkid coming through the ranks at Arsenal.
David Seaman delivers verdict on Arsenal wonderkid Max Dowman
The Arsenal Academy is one of the best in the world.
The Gunners have developed a number of incredible young talents over the years, and that has helped them save millions on the transfer market.
Bukayo Saka is the best example of that, while Ethan Nwaneri and Myles Lewis-Skelly have also shown that they have what it takes to be superstars.
Stuart Pearce hailed two of the above names while speaking on The David Seaman Podcast, and the legendary Arsenal goalkeeper added Nwaneri too.
Then, he raved about another young player who he has seen at the club.
“They have another one, a 15-year-old called Max Dowman. Remember that name. He is special,” Seaman said.
2025/26 will be Max Dowman’s breakthrough year
Dowman is a superb talent, and he has all the qualities to be a star in the first team.
Rules stated that Arsenal were not allowed to hand an opportunity to play the youngster this season – that is why he hasn’t made the first-team squad yet.
Those restrictions will be lifted next term, and we expect it to be the season in which Dowman will get opportunities in the senior side.
Don’t be surprised at all if he has a similar impact in the first team as the likes of Saka and Lewis-Skelly did in their breakthrough seasons.
