Arsenal youngster Max Dowman is taking steps on his journey to the senior team, which is moving ever closer.

The starlet has impressed in the Arsenal academy, having become a regular in the under-18s at the age of just 15.

Max Dowman’s ability hasn’t just impressed the academy staff, but has seemingly caught the eye of Mikel Arteta too.

The youngster has been involved in senior training at Arsenal for some time now, regularly competing with those many years his senior.

It’s for that reason that there is so much excitement, with Arteta hinting at Dowman’s involvement in the years to come.

That involvement at Arsenal could come sooner rather than later, though, with a potential promotion in sight.

When can Max Dowman make his first-team debut at Arsenal?

There has been plenty of excitement surrounding Max Dowman and his ability at Arsenal, with many tipping him for a bright future.

John Terry has praised Dowman, believing he has a bright future, while his former England teammate Ashley Cole has warned Arsenal fans not to put too much pressure on Dowman at such an early stage of his career.

While some of that will come down to the decisions made by Arteta and his coaching staff, the options for the 15-year-old open up heading into next season.

That’s because, as per Premier League rules, Dowman will be eligible to make his Arsenal senior debut as of the 2025/26 season.

It’s unclear how much game time the young attacking midfielder may receive, given how carefully he will have to be managed, but it’s a huge show of trust in his ability and potential that talk over a debut is already happening.
