Gabriel Jesus scored his first hat-trick for Arsenal against Crystal Palace in the EFL Cup.

The Gunners have booked their place in the semi-final of the competition. They now have a great chance of going all the way, and it’s all thanks to Jesus’ goals.

The Brazil international wasn’t at his best in the first half – no Arsenal player was. It seemed like it was going to be a difficult game, but things changed after the break.

Martin Odegaard bossed the game in the second half, and Jesus did what he had to do in front of goal in brilliant fashion.

Jesus has had a really difficult couple of years at Arsenal.

The Brazilian became an instant superstar when he first joined the Gunners. He was almost unplayable in his first few months at the club.

However, following his injury during the World Cup in Qatar, Jesus struggled at Arsenal. He just couldn’t get going and came under a lot of criticism.

That didn’t stop Jesus from working incredibly hard every day in training. He was always striving to be better, and that finally paid off against Crystal Palace.

Jesus scored a fantastic hat-trick in the second half to help Arsenal win the game. All three finishes were excellent as well.

Arsenal fans are delighted for Jesus, as are his teammates, who watch him in training every day. Both Declan Rice and Oleksandr Zinchenko have shown him some love by claiming that he completely deserved his moment.

Zinchenko wrote in his Instagram Story: “Deserved more than anyone else!”

Declan Rice said in his story: “You deserve this brother, so happy for you!”

What next for Gabriel Jesus at Arsenal?

Before the game against Palace on Wednesday night, everybody would’ve felt that Jesus’ time at Arsenal was up.

The Brazilian had scored just two goals all year, and there were barely any signs that he was going to get back to his best.

After his stunning hat-trick against Palace, things could change for Jesus. He is an incredible player when he is confident and that performance should do him a world of good.

We expect Jesus to keep his place in the starting lineup when Arsenal face Crystal Palace again on Saturday, this time in the Premier League.
