England were made to show their grit once again to secure a Euro 2024 semi-final spot after a thrilling end to the game against Switzerland.
In a tactical affair, it was the Arsenal players who stepped up. Bukayo Saka’s equaliser will go down in England folklore and former Gunners midfielder Granit Xhaka had a superb game dictating the tempo around the middle.
We’ve come to expect it, but Declan Rice rose to the challenge once again with only one misplaced pass and an impact around the middle with the team ever-changing around him.
The 25-year-old is one of only five Arsenal players remaining at the summer’s tournament with many already having begun pre-season training early in Marbella.

However, agent Rice seems to be doing his best to recruit some more before the visit of Wolves on 17th August.

Declan Rice heaps praise on long-term striker target Ivan Toney
Brentford’s Ivan Toney has long been a rumoured target for Mikel Arteta’s side and it’s not difficult to see why he’d fit in well with the Arsenal group.
Posting on Instagram, Declan Rice singled out England’s striker off the bench for his recent performances in the latter stages with a photo captioned ‘the coldest’ after a convincing penalty from the 28-year-old.

It has left many Arsenal fans wondering what might be, even though it appeared interest had cooled.
When asked who he would most like to be with on a desert island out of the squad, Rice even opted for the Brentford man in an interview on England’s YouTube channel.
He replied: “It’s an easy answer, the man next to me.
“We’re on the same wavelength, we have the same interests, the same music. We like the same hobbies. We just get on really well, so definitely Ivan.”
Is Ivan Toney what Arsenal need this summer?
It is not hard to see why the North London club may be so keen on the Brentford forward. His proven Premier League ability will excite many, and he offers a similar profile to Kai Havertz, being a physical outlet up top.
Some hold reservations after his recent betting scandal, but that is the past and it remains to be seen if Edu will try to tempt Brentford.
Thomas Frank’s side have put a hefty price tag on Toney with him yet to fully rediscover his best form, this transfer saga could go all the way to the end of the transfer window.
