Bukayo Saka has given his opinion on former Arsenal star Granit Xhaka after England’s dramatic penalty shootout win against Switzerland.
The 22-year-old winger faced off against the former Emirates Stadium maestro as Saka’s England came away with a famous win in Dusseldorf, with the attacker scoring a crucial goal for the Three Lions and slotting away his penalty in the shootout.
With Xhaka one of the best players at this summer’s Euros after coming off a historic year with Bayer Leverkusen, England managed to survive facing off against the former Arsenal superstar, who in the last two seasons has been arguably one of the best midfielders in the world.
And Saka has jow given his honest verdict on Xhaka after last night’s win against Switzerland.

Saka full of praise for ‘incredible’ former Arsenal teammate Xhaka
Speaking to the press after the win, Saka showed Xhaka with praise after everything the Swiss midfielder has done since leaving Arsenal, with the 31-year-old clearly leaving an impact on the England winger.
Given how revered Xhaka now is in north London after his incredible final 18 months with the club, it’s no wonder why the likes of Saka have nothing but praise for the Leverkusen maestro since his departure.

And even after being on the losing side last night, Xhaka still showed his quality on and off the pitch, with Saka hailing his former teammate to the moon and back after England’s historic win against Switzerland.
Saka said: “He has had an incredible season, I think he has won enough trophies already. I think he is an amazing player, an amazing person. Even after they lost, the humility he showed to come and shake our hands. He is a top guy and I wish him all the best.”

The rebirth and evolution of Xhaka has been an outstanding watch for Arsenal fans in the last two years, with the former Emirates Stadium outcast and villain transforming himself into one of the club’s most beloved figures in recent years.
And after last season’s Invincible title win with Leverkusen, Xhaka deserves all the praise the Swiss international is now receiving, with Saka the latest to give the midfielder his flowers after this summer’s Euros.
Indeed, the 31-year-old is at the peak of his career and playing some truly outstanding football, and Arsenal fans will be pleased to see Xhaka performing so well after everything the midfielder went through in north London.
