Arsenal players are hard at work in Singapore ahead of their pre-season games there.

The Gunners take on AC Milan on Wednesday, before facing Newcastle United at the weekend. Then, they fly over to Hong Kong for a North London Derby against Tottenham Hotspur.

Results in pre-season mean absolutely nothing, but we’re sure Mikel Arteta will demand wins from his side in all three games.

The likes of Bukayo Saka and Declan Rice are putting in the work behind the scenes, and Arsenal have released a video to show us what’s going on during training.

Declan Rice left disappointed after Bukayo Saka beat him in a training drill

Arteta has made Arsenal a very competitive side over the years.

The Gunners have gone toe-to-toe with some of the biggest clubs in the world in recent seasons, and they have looked really good.

The fighting spirit is not just on during games, but players want to be the best in training as well, and that was the case in Singapore on Tuesday.

Rice, Saka and Ethan Nwaneri appeared to be competing in a shooting drill, and the former looked like he was about to win after both Nwaneri and Saka missed their attempts.

However, the former West Ham man missed his strike too and fell to the ground in disappointment.

Then, Saka stepped up and found the back of the net with a brilliant strike from the edge of the box. The Arsenal number seven wheeled away in celebration, while Rice can be heard shouting ‘no’ in the background.

Bukayo Saka should aim to break one Premier League record this season

Saka is one of the best players in the Premier League.

The England international has been incredible for Arsenal over the years, and the fact that he is still only 23 means he will become even better in the coming years.

In the 2024/25 campaign, Saka was on track to beat Thierry Henry and Kevin De Bruyne’s record for most assists provided in a single season.

The Arsenal number seven had 11 assists after the first 13 games, and it seemed certain that he would smash the record.

But, a serious hamstring injury kept Saka out for three months – that is the reason why he was not able to get anywhere near that record.

In the upcoming campaign, we think Saka should be aiming to break that record. He is definitely capable; all he needs to do is stay fit for the entire season.
