Arsenal have a lot of pace in their squad.
The Gunners are not necessarily a counter-attacking team. They are often deep into the opposition’s half and rarely need someone to run from one end of the field to another at full speed.
However, if Mikel Arteta needs a player to do that, the likes of Gabriel Martinelli, Bukayo Saka, Ben White and Declan Rice, among others, possess brilliant pace and acceleration.
Now, there is another speedster in Arsenal’s squad.
Eberechi Eze says Noni Madueke is Arsenal’s fastest player in training
Arsenal signed Noni Madueke from Chelsea in the summer.
The Englishman wasn’t really welcomed with open arms by the supporters, but he won everyone over with his performances in his first few games.
Even Wayne Rooney admitted that he was wrong about Madueke – he isn’t the only one.
Over the years, many Arsenal players have claimed that Gabriel Martinelli is the fastest player at the club, and that opinion was never disputed.
The Brazil international is absolutely rapid and is capable of beating almost every player in the Premier League in a race.
However, that title belongs to Madueke now.
When asked to name the fastest player in training by the Premier League’s social channels, Eberechi Eze replied: “Noni!”

Martinelli has been a regular under Arteta at Arsenal over the years, but he will be the first to admit that he hasn’t been at his best over the last two seasons.
There was a lot of speculation over the summer that Arsenal could sell Martinelli if the right offer arrived, and those rumours grew stronger following the arrivals of Eze and Madueke.
No move materialised, but the presence of those two new Arsenal signings seems to have made Martinelli pull his socks up.
The Brazilian has been excellent in recent weeks, contributing to three goals and an assist in his last four games in the Premier League and the Champions League.
That is what competition does to players, and we can’t wait to see how much Martinelli’s performances will increase the level of the other wingers at Arsenal now.
