Viktor Gyokeres has been looking seriously sharp during Arsenal’s latest training session, and Eberechi Eze’s reaction just said it all.
Gyokeres has been really struggling at Arsenal over recent weeks, but everyone at the club remains determined to ensure he succeeds at the Emirates Stadium.
Fill in the blank: Viktor Gyokeres is now worth £___m following his start to life at Arsenal…
Arsenal paid £63m in the summer…
The striker has just one goal from open play in his last 12 matches for the Gunners, and his overall performances have been seriously poor.
But regardless of all the negativity around the Swede’s form, his teammates are clearly still backing him to be a success in Arsenal colours.
Viktor Gyokeres looks so sharp in Arsenal training
Arsenal have just released footage of shooting drills from Monday’s training session, and Viktor Gyokeres looks noticeably sharp in front of goal.
The Gunners have some key matches coming up, with Inter Milan in the Champions League and then Manchester United in the Premier League.
Mikel Arteta faces a big decision as to whether he will stick with the Swedish striker or look to bring in one of Kai Havertz or Gabriel Jesus.
Arteta has recently defended Gyokeres’ form, claiming that number nine is the toughest position to play in the Premier League.
Monday’s training footage clearly shows Gyokeres’ talent in front of goal, and Eberechi Eze’s reaction also shows that his teammates still believe in him.
Will Viktor Gyokeres ever look this sharp in an Arsenal match? 👀
Recently, Jurrien Timber called Gyokeres ‘amazing’, but for all the praise he gets behind the scenes, it is time to start delivering on the pitch.
Arsenal paid £63 million for Gyokeres and need him to contribute more than just the nine goals he has managed this season.
Gabriel Jesus is helping Viktor Gyokeres at Arsenal
Another of his teammates has spoken highly of him, with Gabriel Jesus revealing that he is helping Gyokeres at Arsenal.
Ahead of Arsenal’s clash with Inter Milan, Jesus told the media: “Vik is an amazing guy, you know. Unfortunately, when he came, I wasn’t here because I was injured and I was doing my rehab in Brazil with my family.
“But since I came back, we have a good relationship. We talk about football, we are the same age, but obviously, I have played here in the Premier League longer than him, so sometimes I give my opinion.
“Sometimes he helps me with stuff he knows. He’s a top striker, he scored a lot of goals at his previous club, and I’m sure he will find a way to do the same for us.”
