There’s been a lot of focus on Eberechi Eze at Arsenal in recent weeks.

Indeed, Eze has been strongly linked to Arsenal, and a move could be on the cards before the close of the summer transfer window.

However, Eze isn’t the only Crystal Palace player Arsenal have had an eye on.

Marc Guehi has been linked to Arsenal too, and speaking to Sports Direct, Eberechi Eze has made an interesting claim about the £18m man.

Eze was asked to name his toughest ever opponent, and, interestingly, he says Marc Guehi is his toughest opponent when he trains against him at Palace.

Marc Guehi named as Eberechi Eze’s toughest opponent

Eze was asked a series of quickfire questions by Sports Direct.

The midfielder was eventually asked to name his toughest ever opponent, and his answer was an interesting one.

Eze has played against defenders such as Virgil van Dijk and William Saliba, but according to the England star, Marc Guehi is his toughest opponent.

Luckily for Eze, he doesn’t have to play against Guehi in a competitive setting as they are teammates at Palace, but that could change if either player makes a move this summer – of course, unless they sign for Arsenal.

Eze says that Guehi is his toughest opponent, but, throughout his career, he’s been more notable as a teammate.

Indeed, these two have been at the heart of Crystal Palace’s recent successes, and it’s fair to say they make for a brilliant partnership.

The fact that Guehi and Eze win together more often than they lose says a lot, especially when playing for a team like Crystal Palace.

With all due respect to Palace, they’ve not been top-level operators in English football for most of their history, but now, they’re rising to prominence, and that’s down to Eze and Guehi.

In some ways, it would be a shame if Arsenal broke this partnership up, but Mikel Arteta certainly wouldn’t mind if he landed both of these stars from one of the Gunners’ London rivals.
