Arsenal remain interested in signing Eberechi Eze this summer, despite already adding six players to Mikel Arteta’s ranks.
After finishing second for the third season in a row last term, the Gunners have committed to bolstering their squad by spending almost £200 million in the pursuit of silverware.
Viktor Gyokeres has arrived in a £63 million deal from Sporting CP as the North Londoners’ marquee addition, while Martin Zubimendi signed from Real Sociedad to replace the outgoing Thomas Partey.
Meanwhile, Andrea Berta also added the likes of Noni Madueke, Christian Norgaard, Cristhian Mosquera and Kepa Arrizabalaga as depth pieces.
The Italian sporting director doesn’t want to stop there, with Arsenal eyeing Eze as the final piece in the jigsaw.

Crystal Palace learn European fate amid Eberechi Eze to Arsenal transfer links
Arsenal need to sell to sign Eze, in order to create squad space for the England international to arrive.
Two players who could raise significant funds that the Gunners can pour into the Eze pot are now said to be targets for Turkish clubs.
Galatasaray are considering a move for Leandro Trossard, while Fenerbahce have enquired about Oleksandr Zinchenko’s availability.
It’s likely that Berta will be able to shift the requisite players to allow the Eze move to happen, and finances shouldn’t be an issue for Arsenal this summer.
Instead, the major stumbling block may actually be negotiating with Crystal Palace, and the Gunners may just have been handed a huge boost on this front.
Palace have now discovered their European fate, with the Eagles losing their CAS appeal, condemning them to a demotion from the UEFA Europa League to the UEFA Conference League.
Nottingham Forest will take the South Londoners’ place in the Europa League, with Palace now considering ‘all legal options’.
While Palace will look to fight this verdict once again, given their Conference League qualification match is just ten days away, it doesn’t seem likely that the decision will be overturned.

How does Crystal Palace’s European verdict help Arsenal in pursuit of Eberechi Eze?
While Eze ‘has his heart’ set on Arsenal, he has thus far shown no willingness to force through a move by handing in a transfer request or abandoning Palace training.
Eager not to damage his relationship with the South London club, this sort of forcible action is unlikely.
That said, no longer having the prospect of Europa League football, at least, may make him more willing to push the boat out on the transfer front.
| Eberechi Eze’s Premier League Statistics 2024/25 | |
| Appearances | 34 |
| Goals | 8 |
| Assists | 8 |
| Shots per 90 | 3.48 |
| Expected Goals per 90 | 0.36 |
| Key Passes per 90 | 2.01 |
| Expected Assists per 90 | 0.22 |
| Successful Take-ons per 90 | 2.33 |
As well as this, Palace may be more willing to sanction his departure now they know which continental competition they’ll be competing in next season.
They no longer have the more lucrative revenue from the Europa League coming into their club, meaning they may be more willing to cash in on Eze.
Additionally, they no longer require as strong a squad and may be more willing to reinvest in a younger player, now that they have a less challenging competition to fight for.
