Eberechi Eze is set to play in his first North London Derby on Sunday after joining Arsenal in the summer.

Eze got his long-awaited move to the Emirates in the summer in what was a cathartic moment for the player and Arsenal supporters alike.

Eze had dreamed of playing for Arsenal for a long time, while fans were keen to see Eze join the Gunners too.

To make things even better, Tottenham Hotspur believed they were set to sign Eze before Arsenal swooped.

Eberechi Eze describes the North London Derby as ‘powerful’

Eze, alongside the rest of his Arsenal teammates, took part in a task ahead of the North London Derby.

On their way into training, the Arsenal players were asked to describe the upcoming game using just one word or a short phrase.

Eze has never played in this match before, but, as a boyhood Arsenal fan, he knows what this game means, describing it as ‘powerful.

Other Arsenal players used different terms to describe the rivalry with Tottenham.

Eberechi Eze’s record vs Tottenham

Eze will play in his first North London Derby on Sunday, but, of course, he’s played against Spurs on numerous occasions in the past as a Crystal Palace player.

Eze has faced off against Tottenham no fewer than seven times already in his career, and he does have a decent record against Spurs.

Four goal contributions in seven games is a very solid return from Eze, and he’ll be hoping to add to that this weekend.

Of course, a return of two wins from seven games isn’t ideal, but, with all due respect, Crystal Palace are rarely expected to be favourites against Tottenham in the same way Arsenal are.

Arsenal have a great record vs Spurs in recent years, and they could well extend that this weekend.
