Eddie Nketiah has lauded Kylian Mbappe as the best player in the world, with Arsenal reportedly interested in signing the attacker.
The PSG superstar is set to leave the French capital at the end of this season, with Arsenal believed to be interested in signing Mbappe alongside the likes of Liverpool and, of course, Real Madrid.
With Mikel Arteta on the hunt for a new striker, Mbappe could be the best possible option out there in the market, even if the 25-year-old would be the most expensive player to potentially join the Premier League.
Kylian Mbappe named ‘the best’ amid transfer links to Arsenal

Indeed, Mbappe is one of the best players on the planet right now, and according to Nketiah via Sky Sports, the PSG man is his pick when asked who is the standout figure in football as of this moment.
With 30 goals and seven assists in all competitions already, it’s no real surprise why Nketiah has chosen Mbappe, who after being linked with Arsenal could now be someone who replaces the England international in the north London squad.
Yet given the finances it would take for such a deal to happen, Nketiah’s role might be safe, with Madrid still the clear favourites to sign Mbappe come the end of this season.
Nketiah said: “Mbappe right now is who’d I say is the best in the world right now. With how direct he is with how dangerous he is in the box, the quality in the final third is the best out there.”
PSG superstar would be the dream signing for Mikel Arteta

Arteta is a manager who is constantly looking for ways to improve his squad and to get wins, with the transfer market a big source of inspiration for the Arsenal manager.
The likes of Declan Rice, Martin Odegaard and Gabriel Jesus have all played huge roles across the years in helping Arteta push Arsenal to more and more wins in their quest for the Premier League title.
Which is why Mbappe would be such a dream signing for Arsenal, with the PSG superstar simply the best player in the world right now and someone Arteta would love to have amongst his ranks.
Whilst a deal might be impossible due to finances, there’s still that tiny glimmer of hope that Mbappe could join Arsenal this summer, and Arteta will want that deal to happen more than anyone.
