Erling Haaland has continued his war of words with Arsenal after reminding one of their fans about his impressive record against Mikel Arteta’s team.
Arsenal finally managed to get the better of Manchester City and Haaland this season by beating them to the Premier League title by seven points.
🏆 Fill in the blank: I am ___% confident Arsenal can retain our Premier League title next season…
Haaland thought City were going to win the Premier League title following their 2-1 win over the Gunners back in April.
However, the striker was made to look rather silly as City dropped seven points in their final six matches and were beaten to the title by the Gunners.
But after scoring twice against them, Haaland has just aimed another cheeky dig at one of their supporters ahead of the World Cup.
Erling Haaland says he always scores vs Arsenal
Erling Haaland has had a chance to face some of his critics and respond to some of the accusations thrown at him as a player.
The 25-year-old claims that one of the things said about him is that he ‘never scores against big clubs’ and he said that’s why he ‘scores in every game against Arsenal’.
Speaking ahead of meeting an Arsenal fan, Haaland told his YouTube channel: “Go on, ‘he never scores any goals against big clubs’, obviously I score in every game against Arsenal, so…”
Last season, Haaland had a great battle with Gabriel, but there certainly seems to be no love lost between the two players.
🏆 Which Arsenal star will go the furthest at this summer’s World Cup?
Zubimendi and Spain? Saka and England? Saliba and France?
With Enzo Maresca in charge, it will be fascinating to see how Haaland and City fare against Arsenal next term.
Erling Haaland’s goal-scoring record vs Arsenal
Whilst Haaland claims he ‘scores in every game against Arsenal’, that’s not exactly true, as the Norwegian has averaged a goal every other game.
In 11 appearances against the Gunners, the striker has scored six times and won on just five occasions against them.
He managed to score in both matches last season, but in the end, it was not enough to help City beat them to the title.
