ESPN pundit Janusz Michallik feels Arsenal star Gabriel Martinelli has a higher ceiling in the game than Bukayo Saka.

The young Brazilian, who’s still only 22, is one of the best wingers in the Premier League. He has been magnificent, but can he go on to have a better career than Saka? Here’s what Michallik said about the Arsenal duo on ESPN.

Arsenal told Gabriel Martinelli has a higher ceiling than Bukayo Saka

Arsenal stars Gabriel Martinelli and Bukayo Saka have been two of the most exciting young players in the Premier League for a few years now.

The two wingers are absolutely electric. They were amongst the best in the country last season, with both players directly contributing to at least 20 goals in all competitions.

Arsenal fans absolutely love Saka and Martinelli, and we’re so glad they’re on our side. That’s probably why we haven’t really compared the two with each other, but Michallik has now.

The former USA international believes Martinelli’s ceiling is slightly higher than that of Saka.

He said: “I actually think, in terms of ceiling, for me, Martinelli is a little bit better. He has had a little bit of an injury.

“This is a preference. I am not saying that Saka isn’t as good. But I just like what Martinelli offers in the game a little bit more.”

Stop comparing them

The togetherness at Arsenal is one of the biggest reasons why we have been so good, so the last thing we need right now is for people to pit our players against each other.

Martinelli and Saka share a tremendous relationship on and off the pitch. Every time one of them scores, the other is visibly delighted, and we don’t ever want that to change.

As for whose ceiling is higher – we don’t care. Both of them are still very young and are nowhere near their prime. They have the world at their feet, and we truly believe they can go on to become two of the best players in the world.

Saka and Martinelli’s potential really is scary and we can’t wait to see how much better they will be in a few years’ time.
