Ethan Nwaneri is on track to become Arsenal’s next superstar.

The teenager has been a household name since he became the youngest player in Premier League history back in 2022. Now, he has made an even bigger impression.

Nwaneri has been given plenty of opportunities by Mikel Arteta this season, and the Arsenal Academy graduate has delivered.

Now, he has revealed the one senior Gunners star he’s trying to emulate.

Ethan Nwaneri reveals the one Bukayo Saka trait he wants to add to his game

Bukayo Saka is still only 23 years old, but he’s a mentor to players like Nwaneri and Myles Lewis-Skelly at Arsenal.

The Englishman, who is currently injured, has shown everyone in the academy that there is a pathway to the senior side if you’re good enough.

Saka came through the ranks at Hale End and is Arsenal’s most important player now. Nwaneri, who has been playing on the right wing recently, has admitted that he is trying to emulate the Gunners’ number seven.

The teenager also added that if there’s one trait he would like to take from Saka, it’s his unpredictability.

In a video on Sky Sports, Nwaneri was asked if he looks up to Saka. He replied: “Yeah, 100 per cent. Coming in on his left foot, I try and see the different things he does, the crosses, the shots that he takes, I try and add it to my game because I find myself in similar positions a lot.

“There’s a lot of things that I can take and I’m trying to take from his game and add them to mine.”

When asked about the one trait he would like to take from Saka, he said: “I think his unpredictability. His ability to go down the right and the left, that’s something that I want to try to take.”

Nwaneri’s position could change again after Saka returns

Saka is expected to be back at the end of February or early in March.

That would give Arsenal a huge boost as they really have missed him on the right flank over the last month.

Nwaneri, who is naturally a number 10, has been asked to play in Saka’s position recently, and the youngster has done a fabulous job there.

However, once Saka is back, the teenager will have to make way.

But, Arteta has claimed that Nwaneri is an option up front for Arsenal after the Gunners failed to sign a new striker in January.

We’re excited to see how he would fare if he gets a chance there.
