Bayern Munich are still finding it hard to digest their defeat against Arsenal in the Champions League.
The Bundesliga champions have inflicted a lot of pain on the Gunners over the years. They beat them 5-1 in three consecutive Champions League games at one point.
However, on Wednesday night, Arsenal were by far the better team, and Declan Rice was the star of the show at the Emirates.
Is there a better big-game player than Declan Rice?
Bayern Munich players can’t stop talking about Arsenal star Declan Rice
Rice was the best player on the pitch when Arsenal beat Bayern Munich.
The England international has consistently been brilliant for the Gunners over the years, and his performance on Wednesday night was a sight to behold.
Rice didn’t score or assist against Bayern, but he was absolutely everywhere. He got on the ball well, drove forward every time he had the chance and didn’t give their players a moment’s rest.
UEFA rightly named the Arsenal number 41 as the Player of the Match. His display was so good that the German club’s players haven’t stopped talking about him.
Bayern insider Bayern Space has revealed on X that Rice’s name has come up repeatedly in the dressing room since the defeat, with many describing him as ‘untouchable’ in the middle of the park.
A part of their post read: “Declan Rice has been mentioned repeatedly in these conversations, described by several in the squad as untouchable on the night, dictating pace and territory with an authority that left Bayern’s midfield collapsing in his shadow.”

Declan Rice can make another statement when Arsenal face Chelsea
Rice has been Arsenal’s most consistent player since he joined the club, but his performances this season have been better than anything we’ve seen from him before.
The former West Ham man was excellent in the North London Derby against Tottenham, and he then produced a sensational display against Bayern Munich.
Up next is a game against Chelsea, and there has been a lot of debate over who is better between Rice and Moises Caicedo.
Is Declan Rice better than Moises Caicedo?
Roy Keane claimed that he would have Rice over Caicedo in his side every day of the week, and Arsenal fans all share the same opinion.
On Sunday, if the England star dominates the midfield against Chelsea and helps his side pick up a win, he will send a strong statement to the rest of the Premier League that he is the best.
History definitely is on Rice’s side – he has never lost a game against the Blues while playing for Arsenal. Hopefully, he can get another win on Sunday.
