Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette endured mixed spells at Arsenal.
The former was a prolific number nine at his best, dragging a dismal Gunners side through some tough periods, but his stint in N5 ultimately ended sourly.
Meanwhile, Lacazette won Arsenal’s player of the season award in 2018/19, but struggled in several other campaigns.
Together, the duo formed a potent partnership at times on the pitch, whilst forging a close relationship off it.

Nacho Monreal on Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette’s relationship
Arsenal completed the signing of Lacazette in the summer of 2017 for £46.5 million.
Just six months later, Arsene Wenger moved quickly to add another striker to his ranks, acquiring Aubameyang for £56 million from Borussia Dortmund.
Question marks were raised about how the two players would co-exist at the Emirates, and there appeared to be some initial tension between them.
However, this all changed under Unai Emery in the following campaign, when the duo combined to score 50 goals between them for the Gunners.
Speaking in an interview with Soccer AM back in 2019, Nacho Monreal revealed that Lacazette and Aubameyang’s relationship noticeably changed going into the 2018/19 season.
“I don’t know why but since this year, since the season has started, they have a really good relationship, much better than last season,” the former left-back said.
“This is really good for the team. Normally, when you are a striker, you want to be the main player, you always want to score.
“You can see in some teams, when the other player scores, he’s a bit angry because he didn’t score, it’s a bit selfish.
“But, in this case, when Laca scores, Auba is so happy with him. They run to celebrate together, and it happens the other way when Auba scores.”
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexander Lacazette carried Arsenal in the 2018/19 campaign
While Arsenal fans often ultimately look back at the pair of strikers negatively, due to the failure that ensued at the club throughout their time in N5, the partnership they forged carried the Gunners to the Europa League final and to the brink of a place in the top four in the 2018/19 season.
Aubameyang scored 31 goals in all competitions throughout that campaign, while Lacazette netted 19, with no one else in the squad managing to notch up more than six strikes.

Emery waxed lyrical about the duo on numerous occasions throughout the season, and they ultimately should be remembered fondly for what they gave to that iteration of Arsenal.
Aubameyang eventually fell out with Mikel Arteta, prompting his departure, while Lacazette declined significantly in his final year in Islington, before being allowed to leave on a free transfer.
