Arsenal moved to within nine points of Premier League leaders Liverpool with a 2-1 victory over Fulham at the Emirates Stadium.
Arsenal fans were impressed with Gabriel Martinelli as the Brazilian winger looked back to his exhilarating best following a spell on the side lines and some inconsistent form this season.
Mikel Arteta praised a ‘beautiful’ moment for Bukayo Saka as the winger scored on his return from injury and it proved to be the pivotal goal after Mikel Merino scored the opener.
However, there was bad news for the Gunners as Gabriel Magalhaes went off with a hamstring injury and a medical expert has provided an update on the potential extent of his injury.

Expert provides early Gabriel Magalhaes injury verdict
Gabriel Magalhaes has been a rock for Arsenal this season and the extent of his injury will leave Arteta sweating with Real Madrid on the horizon.
Medical expert on X, Physio scout has provided an insight as to what the defender may be looking at in terms of the injury lay off.
Physio scout stated: “Gabriel Magalhães had to come off early in the first half with a hamstring injury. Looked to have injured his hamstring while sprinting back on a transitional defence situation.
“Hamstring injuries vary in terms of recovery time, and he’ll need scans to assess the severity of the injury. Typically, sprinting mechanisms tend to end up as hamstring strains, as opposed to hamstring tightness.
The expert then went on to give a worrying potential time frame for everyone associated with the football club.
Physio scout explained: “Potential Recovery Times: If tightness: Less than a week. If grade 1: 2-4 weeks. If grade 2: 4-6 weeks. Will need further comment from Arteta and Arsenal to confirm the severity of the injury.”
Mikel Arteta has sudden Arsenal defensive crisis
Gabriel was not the only injury concern of the night for the Gunners as Jurrien Timber also limped off in what looked like a knee problem.
The Dutch international was down for a lengthy spell in the first half before continuing to play but went down with around twenty minutes remaining clutching his knee again.

Ben White was absent from the matchday squad in what was described as a ‘niggle’ by Arteta and he adds to Riccardo Calafiori also missing after his injury on international duty.
The season has been ravaged by injuries from start to finish and the current crisis could not have come at a worse time ahead of the Champions League quarter final.
