Arsenal are hoping to challenge for the Premier League title for the third season in a row.
The last two campaign’s saw Mikel Arteta’s side finish as runners up to Manchester City, with matters not made easier this term due to Liverpool’s re-emergence.
Arne Slot has marched his side into conversation regarding the Premier League title race, giving Arteta and Pep Guardiola added competition.
Liverpool lead the race after eight games played, with Man City sitting in second and Arsenal third, perfectly poised for the two red sides to clash on match day nine.

David Seaman predicts a four team Premier League title race
Great improvement was seen at Arsenal last season, with Arteta’s side showing a new level of maturity when going head-to-head with City.
This term, the difficulty is set to increase as a result of Liverpool’s resurgence however, not everyone is envisioning a three-club title race.
Speaking on the Seaman Says podcast, former Arsenal goalkeeper David Seaman shared his thought that there could actually be four teams gunning for the title over the course of the 2024/25 calendar.
“Everybody’s talking about a three-way challenge but I think Chelsea might be close to that,” Seaman said.
“They’re settling down and looking really dangerous.”
It’s been a trialling couple of years for Chelsea, who went from winning the Champions League to finishing 12th and then sixth.
That being said, the Blues have certainly found their match with Enzo Maresca, who has put his stamp on the crowded squad at Stamford Bridge, seeing Chelsea sit just three points behind Arsenal.
Mikel Arteta has to deliver the title at Arsenal
The stakes are even higher this season, emphasising the need for Arteta to deliver the title to the Emirates.
The Spaniard has had his time to implement his project at the club and must soon guide his squad to silverware, with the prospect of Slot or Guardiola beating Arsenal to the title painful.
While Arteta has impressed over the past two seasons in particular, the boss needs to start making his squad’s growth count, with the best indicator of success being titles.
Only time will tell how the Premier League title battle shapes up, with several clubs having a claim to the race this term.
