One former Arsenal defender has now sent a message to Granit Xhaka after the Switzerland star stole the show at Euro 2024.
Ex-Arsenal midfielder Granit Xhaka has impressed at Euro 2024 so far.
The 31-year-old remains a fan-favourite at the Emirates Stadium.
Whilst he had a rollercoaster Arsenal career, it ended on a high. He produced his best football for the club in his final campaign in North London, repairing his relationship with the supporters, before being sold to Bayer Leverkusen by Mikel Arteta last summer.
Xhaka has continued to support to Arsenal since his switch to Germany. Supporters of the Premier League outfit will also have been pleased to see the successes he has gone on to achieve, as Bayer Leverkusen landed a historic Bundesliga and DFB-Pokal double last season.
The 128-cap international has now carried his impressive club form on to the world stage. Xhaka has joined such legends as Cristiano Ronaldo and Zinedine Zidane on a list of players with the most Man of the Match awards earned at European Championships with his performances in this tournament so far.
He was once again excellent as the Swiss battled to a 1-1 draw against the host nation Germany on Sunday.

Philippe Senderos sends message to former Arsenal ace Granit Xhaka after Euro 2024 display
Philippe Senderos spent seven years on the books at Arsenal, making 116 appearances for the club, and picking up an FA Cup winner’s medal in 2005.
In his playing career, the former centre-back also racked up 57 senior international caps for Switzerland. He now follows the nation’s exploits as a supporter, and was in Frankfurt to watch them take on Germany.
The 39-year-old then took to Instagram to reflect on the match, stating: “Intense game last night in Frankfurt. Supporting Switzerland at a major tournament is amazing, a sea of flags and so much passion. I’m confident this team will keep improving and continue to make us proud. Hop Suisse!!!”
Xhaka himself also made a post on Instagram, writing: “So much to be proud of with that performance.”
Senderos then responded to this with three emojis; a flexing bicep, a red heart, and praying hands.
