Arsenal receive latest Gabriel Magalhaes injury news
Arsenal are in the midst of a defensive injury crisis at the moment.
Thomas Partey and Jurrien Timber faced fitness scares ahead of Wednesday evening’s Champions League win over Monaco. Meanwhile, Riccardo Calafiori, Oleksandr Zinchenko, Takehiro Tomiyasu, Ben White, and Gabriel Magalhaes were all ruled out of that fixture.
Gabriel has been a fixture in the heart of the Arsenal defence for a number of seasons, and has formed a formidable partnership at the back with William Saliba.

The Brazilian centre-back is also a real weapon at the other end of the pitch, as he can be devastatingly effective in set-piece situations.
Mikel Arteta recently explained the nature of Gabriel’s injury, revealing that he is suffering with a muscular complaint. However, the Spanish coach now has reason to hope that he will be fit to face Everton in the Premier League this weekend.
Gabriel is “close” to a return to action and could feature against the Toffees.

Jason Ayto a target to replace Edu Gaspar
Arsenal have still not replaced Edu Gaspar since his shock resignation as sporting director.
Arteta is spearheading the search for a new sporting director, and multiple names have been mentioned in connection with the post.

Since his exit from Manchester United, Dan Ashworth has been linked with the Arsenal vacancy.
However, as per an Arsenal Insider exclusive, it has been revealed that Jason Ayto is firmly in the running to get the job.
Ayto is already a figure within the club, having served as assistant sporting director to Edu. The Gunners are open to promoting from within to fill this role, rather than bringing in an outside appointment.

Mikel Arteta learns Marcus Rashford transfer price
Arsenal have been told that they need to sign new striker, and Marcus Rashford is certainly capable of leading the line.
However, the Manchester United star is arguably at his best on the left wing. Gabriel Martinelli has come under fire from Arsenal fans recently, and the arrival of the England international would certainly provide the Brazilian with some stern competition in that part of the pitch.

What’s more, Rashford could be available to Arteta in the upcoming January transfer window for just £40 million, with the Old Trafford outfit needing to make sales in order to comply with Premier League spending rules.
