Mikel Arteta makes Gabriel Magalhaes and all the other Arsenal players work very hard..

The Spaniard is a very demanding manager, and he expects everyone to give it their all – not just in games but during training sessions as well.

Gabriel is a leader at Arsenal and works extremely hard to set an example.

However, the former Lille man has revealed that one of his teammates outworks everyone else in the squad – Gabriel Martinelli.

Gabriel Magalhaes says Gabriel Martinelli is the hardest worker in Arsenal training

Martinelli has been at Arsenal for over six years now.

The Brazil international joined the Gunners from Ituano, and he became an instant fan favourite at the Emirates Stadium.

Martinelli’s form over the last two years has led to some serious criticism, but the one thing nobody can question is his work ethic.

The 24-year-old constantly helps out defensively, and that is one of the biggest reasons why Mikel Arteta has stuck with him.

Now, Gabriel Magalhaes has revealed the other reason – he works harder than anyone else in training.

When asked to name the hardest worker every day, the defender said on Sky Sports: “I’m going to say Martinelli.

“This guy is a machine!”

Gabriel Martinelli’s hard work is paying off

Martinelli will be the first one to admit that he hasn’t been at his best over the last two seasons.

The Brazilian raised the expectation levels after his stunning 2022/23 campaign, in which he scored 15 goals and provided five assists in the Premier League.

After a tough start again this season, Martinelli has stepped up. He scored two crucial goals in back-to-back games against Athletic Club and Manchester City.

He added his third of the campaign against Olympiacos and is looking a lot better after receiving more freedom to drift inwards.

Martinelli’s hard work is paying off, but there’s more to come from him at Arsenal in the coming months.
