Arsenal have been linked with several incredible players over the years, but not all of them have joined the club.

Mikel Arteta has had many big misses, but the Spaniard still managed to assemble a squad capable of winning the Premier League title.

One of the biggest names Arsenal tried to sign but failed to sign is Barcelona and Brazil star Raphinha.

Gabriel Magalhaes has now had his say on him.

Imagine you are Andrea Berta. Who is your top target for Arsenal in the summer transfer window?

Gabriel Magalhaes says former Arsenal target Raphinha is the best shooter in the world

Arsenal tried to sign Raphinha when he was still at Leeds United.

Edu Gaspar called the attacker’s agent at the time, Deco, and asked him if his client would be interested in moving to the Emirates Stadium.

The Arsenal sporting director was told that Raphinha’s dream was to join Barcelona, and he would not accept offers from any other club.

Raphinha even suggested recently that he doesn’t regret rejecting Arsenal before his £55 million move to the Camp Nou.

Now one of the best players in the world, Raphinha has the respect of everyone and is often praised by his teammates and fellow pros.

Now, Gabriel has joined the party.

While building his ultimate footballer, the Premier League winner was asked to name the player who has the best shooting in the world.

The Arsenal centre-half quickly replied: “Raphinha.”

Raphinha would’ve been sensational at Arsenal

Raphinha was initially viewed as a backup to Bukayo Saka on the right wing at Arsenal.

However, after seeing how well he has fared on the opposite side at Barcelona, it is such a shame that the Gunners missed out on him.

Raphinha would’ve been an upgrade over both Gabriel Martinelli and Leandro Trossard on the left flank, which has been a problem position for a few years now.

The Brazilian is too old for Arsenal now, but there are other elite wingers out there for the Gunners to sign before the window shuts.
