Gary Lineker and Gary Neville just said the same thing about Arsenal after Crystal Palace win

Gary Lineker and Gary Neville were in complete agreement about Arsenal after matchday nine of the Premier League season.

Arsenal extended their lead at the top of the Premier League table to four points with a win over Crystal Palace.

Eberechi Eze scored the only goal of the contest, as once again, Mikel Arteta’s side showed that they’re the team to beat this season.

After the game, Crystal Palace centre-back Chris Richards said Arsenal are the best team in the league at the moment, with the Gunners strengthening their title race credentials.

Gary Neville applauds Arsenal’s consistency 

Only nine games have been played, but pundits already have Arsenal as their title favourites, and for good reason.

There aren’t many teams in the English top-flight as consistent as the North Londoners right now, which is something Gary Neville mentioned after the Palace win.

“What I would say is that this league at this moment in time has only really got one consistently good side every single week, and that’s Arsenal, who are playing at a level,” Neville said on The Gary Neville Podcast.

The pundit gave a special mention to Bournemouth and Sunderland’s form, but stressed that with regard to the big six, Arsenal are above the rest.

“Obviously, Bournemouth and Sunderland are just sensational, and you know, well done to them.

“I’m talking about the top teams. They’re all over the place and have been for much of this season apart from Arsenal.”

Neville thinks Arsenal will win the Premier League, and based on their start to the season, the Gunners should feel confident.

Gary Lineker agrees that Arsenal are the only consistent team in the Premier League 

Gary Lineker also thinks Arsenal can win the league title, and interestingly, the pundit shared the same opinion as Neville after matchday nine.

When analysing the Gunners’ victory on The Rest Is Football podcast, Lineker echoed that Arsenal are the only team who are truly consistent at present. 

“I mean, Man United are doing way better than we thought they were doing, but I suppose apart from Arsenal, no one’s been particularly consistent.”

It’s unsurprising to hear the two pundits share the opinion, as since dropping points against Manchester City, Arsenal have won four consecutive games, conceding only one goal in that time.

There’s no doubt that Arsenal are the team to beat in Europe and in the Premier League this season, with every team wanting to see if they can test Arteta’s squad.
