Gary Lineker and Micah Richards have been left in awe of Arsenal defenders Gabriel Magalhaes and William Saliba.
The duo have been arguably the two best centre-backs in the Premier League this season with Arsenal currently holding the best defensive record in the top flight this campaign.
Another year playing alongside each other, Gabriel and Saliba have taken their game to new heights, with the pair playing a key role in Arsenal’s bid for the Premier League title under Mikel Arteta.

And speaking on the Rest is Football podcast, pundits Lineker and Richards both gave their appreciation for Gabriel and Saliba after keeping yet another clean sheet this weekend against Brighton & Hove Albion.
With the performance Arsenal’s fifth clean sheet in a row on the road, the display was one that showed just how good the Gunners now are at the back with Gabriel and Saliba.

Coupled with David Raya slotting in between the sticks perfectly, the two defenders currently look unstoppable, and the Arsenal stars are rightly deserving of praise.
Lineker said when talking about Arsenal’s defensive record and Gabriel and Saliba’s performances: “What a partnership that is,” with Richards adding: “It’s class, it’s just class.”

Gabriel and Saliba’s partnership has been transformative for Arsenal, with the duo striking a cord and form a connection few in the Premier League currently have.
And if the north London side are to win the title, the defence will be a key reason for such an achievement, with Gabriel and Saliba looking flawless this year.
With Ben White continuing to shine at right-back, Arsenal’s defence has never looked stronger, and more clean sheets this season could lead to the biggest prize of all in the Premier League title.
