Gary Neville gets destroyed for ‘complete lazy punditry’ after what he said about one Arsenal star

Gary Neville loves making controversial statements about Arsenal.

The Manchester United legend is one of the biggest pundits in England, and every time he has something to say, it makes the headlines.

During Arsenal’s win over West Ham United on Sunday, Neville criticised Ben White after he suffered an injury.

Former Arsenal star Perry Groves has now hit back at him for the same.

If you could make one pundit stop talking about Arsenal, who would you choose and why?

Perry Groves rips into Gary Neville’s ‘lazy’ punditry

White has been ruled out of the rest of the season due to injury.

The Englishman seemed to twist his knee after a challenge on Crysensio Summerville during the game at the London Stadium.

Instead of sympathising with the unfortunate incident, Gary Neville criticised the way White tackled.

He said on commentary: “Ben White just hangs his leg there. It’s poor from the right-back. He’s up against Summerville; he’s got to be stronger than that. He’s hurt himself there.

“That’s easily prevented if you go in strong and with a real sturdy block. He’s hung his leg out in pretty weak fashion; you’re asking for trouble.”

Groves was having none of that and slammed Neville and his lazy analysis.

He said on talkSPORT: “It’s lazy, it’s complete lazy punditry. Because Ben White didn’t pull out of the challenge, it was a 50/50. Declan Rice, Summerville tackled him first, and then the ball has spun out, and if you look at it, they both [Summerville and White] go [for the ball].

“And what happens is, because Ben White has gone in with a block tackle, his side foot, his knee joint then comes out. And Summerville’s knee hits the inside of his knee, so your joint is hyper-extended and that’s where you get the impact, and he’s probably done some ligament damage.

“So I think it was just very lazy, where it seemed like he [Neville] just wanted to criticise because of Ben White’s reputation that he doesn’t like football. I think it was just sloppy and too easy, because 100 per cent, he did not pull out of that tackle. No chance!”

Arsenal fans should stop listening to Gary Neville

Neville’s comments on Arsenal rarely ever feel genuine.

It almost always looks like the pundit is speaking with an agenda and pushing a narrative to divide the fan base.

For that reason, we think Arsenal fans should completely ignore what he and a few others like Jamie Carragher say and not give them any attention.

Once that happens, we’re sure he’ll stop making these needless comments.
