Gary Neville says Bruno Fernandes has been better than Declan Rice
Gary Neville has named Bruno Fernandes as his Premier League Player of the Season, ahead of Declan Rice.
The former Manchester United defender is even backing Bernardo Silva ahead of the Arsenal star following his recent upturn in form.
Fernandes has helped carry United up the table and into contention for the Champions League places.
Meanwhile, Bernardo Silva could help City to complete a domestic treble this season and has been one of the vital cogs.
When asked to pick his Player of the Season, Neville told The Overlap: “I’m going with Bruno Fernandes. I don’t put Declan Rice above both Bruno Fernandes and Bernardo Silva.”

Roy Keane is also a huge fan of Silva and is backing him to win the award this year if Manchester City were to win the treble.
Giving his Player of the Season, Keane said: “If Manchester City win all 3 domestic trophies, Bernardo Silva.”
Ian Wright is thinking slightly differently and is backing Rice to win the Ballon d’Or if the Gunners can pull off a historic Premier League and Champions League double.
“I’m going for Declan Rice. Especially if we win if we’re in the league. Declan Rice. And if we’re in the Champions League, then Ballon d’Or as well.”
