Myles Lewis-Skelly has been Arsenal’s best young player this season.

The teenager got an opportunity in the first team due to injuries to senior players, and he has repaid the faith Mikel Arteta put in him.

Lewis-Skelly has delivered some incredible performances over the last few months, and he has amazed everyone, including Gary Neville.

The Manchester United legend has heaped praise on the youngster now and even raved about one thing he does that ‘shouldn’t be happening’.

Gary Neville hails Arsenal youngster Myles Lewis-Skelly

Nobody really expected Myles Lewis-Skelly to play a prominent part for Arsenal this season.

Yes, fans had a feeling that he would get opportunities, but starting home and away against clubs like Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain is a feat that not even he would’ve imagined.

Lewis-Skelly was fantastic in all of those games, and his performances have even earned him an England call-up. He could well be the first-choice left-back for the Three Lions now.

Neville is usually very critical of Arsenal, but he had nothing but great words to say about Lewis-Skelly and the way he dribbles.

When asked to name his Young Player of the Season, Neville said on The Overlap US: “I’ll go for Lewis-Skelly. When you watch him play, it looks like he has been there forever, just the way in which he has slotted in there.

“It was a position causing Arsenal problems at times in the last year or two. I don’t think they ever really buttoned it down. They had Tierney, Zinchenko, tried a couple of other options, centre-backs playing out there…

“I think he is an absolute find, unbelievable talent, and his temperament is fantastic.

“On the ball, the way he dribbles past people, it just mesmerises me. It shouldn’t be happening, really, at any age, let alone that age.”

Myles Lewis-Skelly dribbles just like a former Tottenham star

It’s very rare to see teenagers come into the senior side and physically dominate opponents, but Lewis-Skelly has made it look easy.

The youngster hasn’t been fazed by any physical challenge this season and has dealt with top-class wingers with ease.

Lewis-Skelly, who is so strong, is a fantastic dribbler too and just brushes people aside when he is running forward with the ball.

Declan Rice compared Lewis-Skelly’s style to Mousa Dembele, the former Tottenham midfielder who was incredible for them when he played.

We think Lewis-Skelly is on track to have a better career than Dembele did.
