Gary Neville believes Arsenal will pip Liverpool and Manchester City to the Premier League title this season.
The Gunners have finished second in each of the last three campaigns, but have responded to this by investing almost £200 million in their squad this summer.
Viktor Gyokeres has arrived in a £63 million deal as the marquee addition, while the likes of Noni Madueke, Martin Zubimendi and Cristhian Mosquera have also signed for the North Londoners.
However, Liverpool have also spent big in an attempt to rejuvenate their ageing squad, and Manchester City have outlaid a significant sum of money as they look to rebuild Pep Guardiola’s ensemble.

Gary Neville explains why he thinks Arsenal will win the Premier League
Arsenal got off to a good start in the league on Sunday, beating Manchester United 1-0 at Old Trafford.
While the manner of the performance may concern Mikel Arteta and the club’s fans, they’re only likely to improve as the new players settle in and integrate fully into the team.
Despite having something of a tumultuous relationship with Arsenal and Gunners supporters over the years, Gary Neville has staunchly stuck by his belief that Arteta’s side will win their first league title in over 20 years this term.
That said, the former United defender has admitted that he’s only remained committed to this prediction because of ‘stubbornness’.
“You’re asking me to make a big call, and I’ve been thinking about this non-stop on the train on the way down this morning,” Neville said on the Sky Sports Premier League YouTube channel.
“I’m actually torn between Arsenal, Liverpool and City. I cannot separate them in my mind, I can’t, it’s a guess!
“Anyone who says they know who’s going to win the league is making a guess. It’s an absolute lie; they don’t. So we’re just talking about predictions. I am actually going to stick with Arsenal purely through stubbornness. I actually think City are going to win the league, but I can’t change from Arsenal because I can’t go against them.
“I’ve felt they were going to win it for the last three years, I felt they were going to get over the line and it would be wrong of me to change now. I can’t split the three of them, to be fair.”

Should Arsenal be the favourites to win the Premier League?
Arsenal had to rely on David Raya’s excellence to come away from the north-west with three points.
It was far from an accomplished performance from Arteta’s men, although they’ll take solace from the fact that they secured victory at an intimidating stadium.
While Liverpool and Manchester City both looked good on the opening weekend, there are arguably more question marks surrounding both teams.

The Merseysiders look vulnerable defensively with their two new marauding full-backs, while they lack depth at centre-back and in forward areas.
Meanwhile, City’s new-look midfield is yet to be truly tested, and their ability to keep good teams out is also an open question.
Arsenal are likely to be at a similar level to what they’ve been at over recent years, merely with some added depth, and thus are arguably favourites to lift the elusive piece of silverware.
