Hoddle, who managed teams against Henry back in the day, believes Isak is similar to the legendary Frenchman and is also better than him in one area.
The former Spurs and Chelsea boss said on Matchday Live: “This lad could play in any team, he could play in Liverpool’s team or Arsenal’s team, he could stay at Newcastle and get some rewards there.
“He has so many assets as a number nine, he’s more than a number nine to be honest.
“He’s Henry-like, he can drift wide, he can head the ball, he’s a better header of the ball than Thierry Henry.”
Arsenal’s chances of signing Isak
Every Arsenal fan on the planet would love Alexander Isak.
The Sweden international is absolutely perfect for the way Arteta makes his team play, and if he does arrive, Arsenal will likely win the Premier League.
But, David Ornstein has claimed that Isak to Arsenal is unrealistic this summer because Newcastle will demand an absolute fortune to let him go.
That’s why reports have claimed that Arteta prefers Viktor Gyokeres now because he will be available for a lot cheaper than Isak.
It will be interesting to see if the Gunners can land the Sporting CP star in the coming months.
