Arsenal are preparing themselves for a busy summer transfer window.

The Gunners have brought in Andrea Berta to oversee all the transfers, and there is a lot of excitement among the fans to see what he will do.

The Italian has arrived with a solid reputation from Atletico Madrid, and we’re sure Berta already knows the signings and sales he needs to make.

A new striker will be very high on the agenda, and there is now an update on that front.

David Ornstein shares Victor Osimhen and Alexander Isak to Arsenal update

Arsenal have been in need of a prolific goalscorer for a long time now.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang was the last striker at the Emirates who was a killer in front of goal, but his form fell off a cliff in his final months at the club.

Arsenal have signed Gabriel Jesus and Kai Havertz since, and although both players have done a decent job, especially the latter, but they need more.

A striker who will guarantee 25 or 30 goals a season will take Arsenal to a whole new level, and they have been linked with plenty of names already.

David Ornstein has claimed that Alexander Isak is not a realistic target for the Gunners anymore, and the same can be said about Napoli star Victor Osimhen.

The journalist said on NBC Sports: “They’ll also look to strengthen in attack, Players such as Viktor Gyokeres of Sporting Lisbon, Benjamin Sesko are on the radar.

“I don’t think Alexander Isak is going to be realistic, nor the likes of Victor Osimhen and any other names you’ll hear swirling around.”

Why aren’t Arsenal and other Premier League clubs chasing Osimhen?

Osimhen is a terrific player.

The Napoli star, who is currently on loan at Galatasaray in Turkey, is a tremendous goalscorer, and he has the ability to play for some of the top clubs in Europe.

But, no English side has shown concrete interest in signing him recently, and David Ornstein believes that the Nigeria international’s salary demands, combined with his character, are the reasons why.

The journalist said in his Q&A on The Athletic: “The feeling among most Premier League clubs that have looked into the possibility seems to be that the salary expectations are difficult to meet, and he is perhaps not the player/character they are looking for at present.

“The consensus among these teams seems to be that Saudi Arabia could well prove his destination, but let’s see how it pans out.”
