Gabriel Martinelli endured another difficult evening as Arsenal were beaten by Inter Milan in Wednesday evening’s Champions League encounter.
Gabriel Martinelli started for the Gunners at the San Siro, and saw plenty of the ball in dangerous areas against the Italian outfit.
However, the Brazilian was unable to make a tangible impact as the North London club tasted defeat in the Champions League for the first time season, succumbing to a 1-0 loss.
Many Arsenal players underperformed against Inter Milan, not just the 23-year-old. However, Mikel Arteta will certainly have been frustrated by the manner in which he slowed the game down and lacked conviction and cutting edge whenever he was in possession.
Martinelli is now playing for his Arsenal future, having been in poor form for some time, particularly when it comes to providing goals and assists.

Arteta has afforded Martinelli many chances to play his way back into form, but the attacker can’t seem to find any consistency, much to the anguish of one talkSPORT pundit, who raised his concerns to former Arsenal midfielder Ray Parlour.
Former Tottenham Hotspur forward, Alan Brazil, did not hold back in his criticism of the Arsenal winger as he stated: “Do you know who infuriates me at times? Martinelli. He does my head in at times.”
The Arsenal legend then gave his verdict on Martinelli: “He’s got that pace, hasn’t he? He goes past players… He’s got to have that end product, that it the most important thing.”
