Arsenal star Gabriel Martinelli has praised Leandro Trossard’s ability in tight spaces.

The Belgian isn’t a regular starter at Arsenal, but almost every time he gets an opportunity, he delivers. He is a fantastic player, and his teammates at the Emirates rate him very highly.

Gabriel Martinelli praises Arsenal teammate Leandro Trossard

Arsenal signed Leandro Trossard from Brighton and Hove Albion in January this year for an initial fee of £20 million, with an additional £7 million agreed if certain add-ons are achieved.

The 28-year-old wasn’t Mikel Arteta‘s priority target in the winter window.

The Arsenal boss actually wanted to sign Mykhaylo Mudryk, but once he went to Chelsea, Trossard became the chosen one.

The Belgian has been an incredible player for us. He has scored seven goals and provided 12 assists for Arsenal in just 18 starts, which is a stunning return.

One of Trossard’s biggest qualities is how good he is in tight spaces. His close control is absolutely exceptional, and he’s a nightmare for defenders to deal with in and around the box.

Speaking about the former Brighton man, Gabriel Martinelli told the Premier League: “The best thing about Leandro Trossard is that he’s a very nice guy.

“On the pitch, he is unbelievable in tight spaces. He is a very good player.”

Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta should start Trossard more often

Leandro Trossard has been at Arsenal for almost 10 months now, but he has only started 18 games for us in all competitions – 13 of those have come in the Premier League.

Yes, we know he is below Gabriel Martinelli, Gabriel Jesus and Bukayo Saka in the pecking order, but the 28-year-old has shown he is more than capable of stepping up when required.

The fact that the Belgian can play anywhere across the front line and also in midfield opens the door for him to start many more games.

With Jesus struggling with injuries and Saka in need of a break, Mikel Arteta should really consider starting Trossard more often.
