Rio Ferdinand is getting a good close look at the top players in the World Cup and he has told the likes of Arsenal and Man United to go and get Ayyoub Bouaddi.

Bouaddi has been one of the standout players this summer and while Morocco love having him involved, France will feel they’ve missed out.

In terms of Bouaddi’s future, every top club in Europe is looking at him. Arsenal are one of them.

The Gunners need a new midfielder and are keen to get a deal done for the best on the market.

And now, Rio Ferdinand has told Arsenal and Man United that Bouaddi is the man to go and get.

Arsenal told to go and sign Ayyoub Bouaddi

Few young players at the World Cup have impressed as much as Bouaddi has.

His performances in midfield have shown a maturity beyond his years and in the end, he was unlucky to be on the losing side as Morocco tried for a second successive semi-final.

Still, Bouaddi has shown enough and according to former England man Rio Ferdinand, he is the top midfielder on the market this summer.

“‘I would go and get Bouaddi from Morocco, the 18-year-old midfielder,” Ferdinand commented when discussing potential signings this summer for Arsenal and Man United.

“100 per cent I’m taking him, building stuff around him. He takes the ball, manipulator.

“Controls the momentum of the game, speeds it up, slows it down, can beat the press. He’s my conductor.”

Bouaddi is likely to cost big money but given he is at Lille – who have a history of selling players on – this does feel like a doable deal if the money is right.

For Bouaddi, the chance of challenging himself at a bigger club will also be too much to turn down.

With Arsenal, the idea of pairing up Bouaddi in the middle of the park with Declan Rice and Martin Odegaard is an exciting prospect indeed.
