Millions of music fans across the world are rejoicing as British rock band Oasis have announced a shock reunion, but one Arsenal star may not be queueing up for a ticket.
Oasis broke up in 2009 after a fallout between Liam Gallagher and his brother Noel, who are both outspoken supporters of Arsenal’s title rivals Manchester City.
However, they have now announced that the band will reunite for a historic tour next summer, including gigs at Wembley Stadium, where Arsenal beat Manchester City in the Community Shield last August.
The Community Shield victory saw Arsenal fans get a first look at Declan Rice, who turned down an offer from Manchester City to complete a club-record transfer from West Ham.
Liam Gallagher was clearly unimpressed by Rice’s decision to turn Man City down for Arsenal, and he slammed the England star when he made the move to the Emirates.

When it was revealed that Rice was set to choose Arsenal over Man City, Gallagher took to X to express his disapproval.
“Lack of ambition,” Gallagher replied when asked about Rice’s decision.
Arsenal pulled off a coup to beat City to the signing of Rice, and the midfielder helped raise the level of Mikel Arteta’s squad, but they finished two points behind Man City in the Premier League title race last season.
However, this does not necessarily mean that Gallagher has been proven right about Rice, and the 25-year-old now has the perfect chance to put a dampener on the highly-anticipated Oasis reunion.
Declan Rice can lead Arsenal to title glory next summer
Liam Gallagher’s support of Man City has seen him open gigs with City chants celebrating their titles before arriving on stage, and if City win the title next summer, similar can be expected.
His brother has also had a lot to say about Arsenal, with guitarist Noel Gallagher criticising Kai Havertz after he joined the Gunners.
“I think Arsenal have tinkered too much with that team. That team just needed Declan Rice and that was it, Havertz has got to be the only transfer in world football where no one would buy him, I think they’ve over-complicated it,” Noel Gallagher stated last year.
Rice has previously been pictured with Liam Gallagher, but he would love nothing more than to put a dampener on what could be some of the biggest concerts in British music history.
Arsenal beating Gallagher’s beloved Man City to the title in May 2025, just before Oasis return to Wembley, would be the perfect way of Rice silencing his critic, and the England midfielder will hope that he can help bring a long-awaited title to North London.
