Arsenal defender Jurrien Timber started for the Netherlands in their 4-0 Nations League win over Hungary on Saturday.
The Dutch side were a dominant force at the Johan Cruyff Arena in Amsterdam, on a night that was marred by a health scare, as Hungarian assistant coach Adam Szalai collapsed early on during the match and was taken to hospital.
On the pitch, meanwhile, Ronald Koeman’s side were able to secure a comfortable victory, with Wout Weghorst, Cody Gakpo, Denzel Dumfries, and Teun Koopmeiners all getting on the scoresheet.
Jurrien Timber also got 68 vital minutes under his belt, before being substituted soon after picking up a booking on the hour mark, as he was replaced by Arsenal transfer target Jorrel Hato.

Dutch media give Jurrien Timber verdict after Hungary win
Timber started at left-back in this match, and was able to involve himself in the build-up play often, as the hosts enjoyed plenty of the ball.
The Dutch press have since given their verdict on the Arsenal man’s display.
Football-Oranje stated: “Jurrien Timber 6.5/10: A steady game for Timber, who got a lot of space and time on the ball. Was basically an extra midfielder at times but this also gave Hungary some space on the counter early on.
Meanwhile, Sportnieuws awarded the 23-year-old former Ajax man a 7/10 rating for his efforts in this match.
Voetbal International granted Timber a score of 6.5 for his performance, as the full-back earned his 18th senior international cap.
Arsenal must make key Jurrien Timber decision after Ben White blow
Timber played at left-back in this game, where he has often been used by Mikel Arteta this season for Arsenal, despite being comfortable in both the heart of the defence and at right-back.
With Arsenal right-back Ben White now set for a spell on the sidelines due to injury, though, it is likely that Timber will become a fixture in that position for the Gunners for the foreseeable future.
Timber’s versatility is a hugely useful asset, but the Arsenal man won’t want to spend his career being shifted around the pitch in order to plug gaps and solve problems, he will want to nail down a place of his own. Arteta must now decided where that place in the team will be, as it will surely impact the Gunners’ transfer plans going forward.
If Timber wants to establish himself as the Gunners’ first choice right-back for the foreseeable future, then he must take advantage of White’s misfortune and impress at the Emirates Stadium in the coming weeks.
