Arsenal are working hard to tie Bukayo Saka down to a new contract.

Andrea Berta has done a spectacular job since joining the Gunners as their sporting director. He replaced Edu Gaspar and has exceeded all expectations.

Not only did Berta sign eight new players in the summer, but he also convinced Myles Lewis-Skelly, Ethan Nwaneri and Gabriel Magalhaes to extend their contracts.

William Saliba has also agreed to sign a new Arsenal deal, and up next is Saka.

How much Bukayo Saka is now set to earn with his new Arsenal contract

Bukayo Saka is Arsenal’s best player.

The Englishman has been immense for Mikel Arteta over the years, and he has produced several incredible performances.

Saka has entered the final two years of his contract at the Emirates, which is a slight concern as every big club in the world would surely be keeping an eye on his situation.

However, Football Transfers have claimed that Arsenal believe Saka will sign a new contract by Christmas, and his salary will increase as well.

As per Spotrac, Saka currently earns £195,000-a-week at Arsenal, which makes him the sixth-highest-paid player at the club.

The report claims that with his new deal, the Arsenal number seven’s wages ‘could reach’ £250,000-a-week.

That is a surprise as the England international would still have two players above him on Arsenal’s wage list.

Arsenal’s highest earners if Bukayo Saka signs his new contract

Arsenal already have five players earning £200,000-a-week or above on their wage bill, and that number will go up soon.

Saliba’s new contract will definitely add him to that group, while the report has claimed that Saka is going to be there as well.

It has further been claimed that the ‘discrepancy’ between Saka’s wages and the two players above him ‘is expected to form a key part of discussions’ in the coming weeks.

Nevertheless, a positive outcome is expected.
